UNISA Change of Qualification 2025-2026: Amendment to qualification Unisa

The University of South Africa, Unisa Change of Qualification involves updating or modifying a student’s academic records, which may include adding new qualifications, shifting academic programs, correcting errors, or transferring credits.

At the University of South Africa (UNISA), a student can change his/her qualification due to some reasons. If you are experiencing challenges with your studies, such as not progressing or repeatedly failing modules, or if your career goals and circumstances have shifted—perhaps you initially aimed for a career in accounting but now see a need for human resource professionals in your field—you might no longer feel aligned with your planned career path. In this case, reflect on why you want to make a change, what you want to change to, and what your next steps should be, you may decide to change your qualification for the academic year.

Why Students Change a Qualification or Cancel Application at UNISA

Before any student decides to change a qualification, it would be very necessary to consider why you want to change qualifications. Are you considering changing your qualifications because your career goals have shifted, or because you are not growing as swiftly as you had hoped? You must take time to dwell on your current situation to thoroughly examine your next possibilities.

For the time being, you may believe that you wish to change your qualifications, but it may simply be a matter of negotiating further financial assistance for your studies. You may ask yourself the following questions:

  • What is it about your current qualification or Unisa study experience that is challenging for you?
  • What are you hoping (how do you see things changing)?
  • How do you see this new qualification helping you prepare for the career opportunities you are hoping for if you have already thought about a new qualification?

Now, if you ask yourself these important questions and will wish to proceed in changing your qualification then, you are good to change.

What Qualification do you want to change to At Unisa?

The first thing you should do is look into the many possibilities available to you. Consider whether there is a method for you to keep doing what you’ve been doing. Then, once you have finished, add another qualification to move your emphasis.

Second, you must determine who will assist you. Consider how you can make use of your current professional network to find new chances.

Depending on your research and decision, you can decide to complete your current qualification or change it now.

If you want to change your qualification, you need to apply for UNISA admission to a new qualification during the next application period for the 2025-2026 academic year.
