  2. Unisa Registration for master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2024 academic year: 10 January to 29 March 2024 (some exceptions apply).

  1. What should I do after my Unisa registration? It can take a little time before you receive confirmation of your registration. As you are waiting for your approval from Unisa, it is a good idea to begin preparing for your studies at Unisa.
  2. As soon as you receive a confirmation of your registration, you need to register on myUnisa, the University of South Africa (UNISA) online student portal where you can download your study material and your tutorial letters.
  3. Please, all communication sent to you after the initial study package (with the exception of study guides) will be sent electronically to your myLife e-mail account (like, follow-up tutorial letters, examination timetables and results, financial statements). You will no longer receive such communication in printed format.

How to Activate myLife Unisa E-mail Account

  1. Visit myUNISA website at my.unisa.ac.za
  2. Click on “Claim Unisa login” link at the top right menu
  3. Follow the steps carefully to complete the process
  4. It can take up to 24 hours for your myLife e-mail account to be created
  5. Click on the myLife e-mail button on the homepage of myUnisa
  6. Login with your full myLife e-mail address and your myUnisa password.
  7. Your myLife Unisa e-mail account is now activated and is the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university.
