Below is the list of registration dates for 2024 first 1 semester and year models:
- Unisa Registration for all undergraduate, honours and postgraduate diplomas will be open from 10 January to 12 February 2024.
- Unisa Registration for master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2024 academic year: 10 January to 29 March 2024 (some exceptions apply).
- The 2024 application and registration dates for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be available soon.
Important Things to Note During UNISA Online Registration 2024-2025
- New applicants and Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification in 2024 can register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted the offer online.
- During the relevant registration period, re-registering students can register for the 2024 academic year once they have received their registration details from Unisa.
- In case you want to change to an alternative qualification, please just apply online for the alternative qualification during the prescribed application period.

- Go to UNISA registration website: http://registration.unisa.ac.za
- At the qualification level, select the one you want to register for and click “Go“.
- Enter your student number in the space provided and other details that may be required.

- Click on the modules from the drop-down list for which you want to register.
- Don’t choose more than the prescribed number of modules per semester or year.
- Calculate your fees. Use the fee quotation link on the Unisa website (http://www.unisa.ac.za/feequote) to obtain a quote for the cost of your modules.
- Submit your registration for evaluation.

- What should I do after my Unisa registration? It can take a little time before you receive confirmation of your registration. As you are waiting for your approval from Unisa, it is a good idea to begin preparing for your studies at Unisa.
- As soon as you receive a confirmation of your registration, you need to register on myUnisa, the University of South Africa (UNISA) online student portal where you can download your study material and your tutorial letters.
- Please, all communication sent to you after the initial study package (with the exception of study guides) will be sent electronically to your myLife e-mail account (like, follow-up tutorial letters, examination timetables and results, financial statements). You will no longer receive such communication in printed format.
How to Activate myLife Unisa E-mail Account
- Visit myUNISA website at my.unisa.ac.za
- Click on “Claim Unisa login” link at the top right menu
- Follow the steps carefully to complete the process
- It can take up to 24 hours for your myLife e-mail account to be created
- Click on the myLife e-mail button on the homepage of myUnisa
- Login with your full myLife e-mail address and your myUnisa password.
- Your myLife Unisa e-mail account is now activated and is the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university.
