Postgraduate Registration Dates At UNISA 2025

Below is the relevant UNISA Registration dates for 2025 Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas;

  • Registration for master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2025 academic year is open from January to April (some exceptions apply).
  • Semester 2 registrations for the MBA and MBL qualifications will open in June and close on July.
  • Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from January to March.

Master’s and Doctoral Qualifications:

Registration opens in January and closes in April.

HOW TO REGISTER ONLINE AT UNISA 2025 POSTGRADUATE

To register to study through UNISA for the 2025 academic year, follow the simple steps below:

  • Visit UNISA registration website: https://registration.unisa.ac.za
  • Select the qualification level in which you are registering
  • After that, click on “Go” to begin the registration process. Make sure you have your student number
  • Enter your student number in the space provided
  • Fill in other details of yours as needed
  • Check your details on the screen to ensure that all your information is entered correctly
  • Make changes to any contact details that you are not sure of or that are incorrect.
  • When you are done, click on the modules from the drop-down list to which you want to register. You have to make sure you meet the admission requirements for your chosen qualification modules.
  • Ensure you don’t exceed the number of modules per semester or year.

  • Lastly, submit your registration for evaluation.

Documents Requirements To Register Online At Unisa 2025

The following documents are required to register at Unisa;

  • Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or a valid passport (international students)
  • Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
  • Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

Only upload the required documents as individual files and not a complete set of documents as one file.

  • Files may not be larger than 2MB (2048KB) each.
  • Only black and white documents may be submitted.
  • Only the following file types are allowed: PDF (Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format file), DOC (Word document file) or JPEG (image file).
