How Much Is The Registration Fee At Unisa 2025: Registration Fee At Unisa 2025

The Unisa registration date for the 2025 academic year has been released for applicants who were successful in the application process. After completing the application form and sending it with the required documents, a response will be sent to you within 21 working days once your application has been accepted and processed, indicating the minimum amount payable by 28 February before any study material can be sent to you.

A minimum fee amount is payable before the closing dates for registration for each module or paper for which you register. If this amount is not paid before the closing date for registration, the university will not be able to process your registration. After paying the minimum amount, the outstanding balance must be paid by the relevant dates.

Applicants (new applicants & Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification) may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted the offer online. Unisa reserves the right to not process and/or cancel your registration if it is found that you were incorrectly admitted to a qualification. Re-registering students must register for the 2025 academic year during the relevant registration period.

How Much Is the Registration Fee At Unisa 2025

UNISA’s study fees are typically lower than those at other higher education institutions, but studying still represents a significant investment. Costs vary depending on the qualification and the number of modules you select.

On average, students register for 4 to 6 modules per year, with fees ranging from R1,815.00 to R7,550.00 per module (subject to change). These fees do not include the cost of prescribed textbooks.

It is important to assess the full cost of your studies before confirming your modules for registration. What you can afford will affect the number of modules for which you can register. Unisa’s fees differ depending on your qualification, the number of modules, and so on, but basically, they include prescribed student fees (including registration fees), miscellaneous fees and fees for additional study material.

All fees must be paid into the Unisa official bank account with the correct reference number or else the university will not be able to process your registration before the relevant closing date. In the case where a letter from an employer/sponsor confirming that they assume responsibility for payment is supplied, the university can provide the employer/sponsor with a quotation.

Registration will only be activated upon receipt of the minimum payment by the relevant closing date. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the employer/sponsor pays the fees on time. No late payments will be accepted. A student should pay his / her fees and claim them back from the sponsor.
