Under the Unisa-TVET agreement, anyone who wishes to enrol in classes at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college should also apply online for admission. Unisa Online Application Date And Deadline 2025-2026

The University of South Africa has opened its application portal for applications for the  2025-2026 academic year. However, the application dates are provided below;

• Undergraduate qualifications

Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.

• Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas

Applications for admission to honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024

• Master’s & doctoral qualifications

The Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).

• Short Learning Programmes

Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.

Unisa 2025-2026 Online Application Fee

All Uniosa applications require a non-refundable application fee of R140.00. The application fee is non-refundable even if you decide not to study through Unisa, do not qualify for admission to Unisa or cannot be offered a space due to limited spaces available. Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed. The due date for the application fee is the closing date for the application period.

How to Apply Online At UNISA 2025-2026

UNISA’s online application process is very quick, easy and accurate. When applying online, you will be asked severally if any detail is incomplete or wrong, which will help you make sure you have filled out all of the appropriate fields before submitting your application online. • Select the qualification for which you are applying.
• Make sure you meet the admission requirements for your chosen qualification
• Ensure that you also have all your supporting documents ready for upload.
• Applicants are required to pay an online application fee of R135 once they have received a student number from UNISA. Please, put it at the back of your mind that this fee is not refundable if you choose not to study with UNISA you do not qualify for admission to UNISA or as well cannot be offered a space due to the few available spaces. • Ensure that your application is completed. If your application for admission to study with UNISA is not complete, it will not be able to processed by UNISA and you will have to re-apply during the next application cycle.

The following documents are required to register online at Unisa in 2025;

• Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
• Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
• Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
• Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
• Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
