The Unisa online registration date for the 2025 academic year has been released for applicants who were successful in the application process. Applicants (new applicants & Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification) may only register if they have received an offer of placement from Unisa and have accepted the offer online. Unisa reserves the right to not process and/or cancel your registration if it is found that you were incorrectly admitted to a qualification. Re-registering students must register for the 2025 academic year during the relevant registration period.
A minimum fee amount is payable before the closing dates for registration for each module or paper for which you register. If this amount is not paid before the closing date for registration, the university will not be able to process your registration. After paying the minimum amount, the outstanding balance must be paid by the relevant dates.

Unisa Online Registration Date For 2025
Below are the various registration dates at Unisa for the various qualifications;
- The registration portal for Undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas opens and ends in January 2025 1 semester. Unisa has extended the closing date for semester 2 registrations to July 2025.
- Registration for master’s and doctoral qualifications for the 2025 academic year is open from January to April 2025 (some exceptions apply). Semester 2 registrations for the MBA and MBL qualifications will open on June and close on July 2025.
- Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from January to March 2025.
Online Registration Process For Unisa 2025-2026
Unisa’s online registration process is quick, simple and accurate. When registering online, you’ll be prompted when information is missing or incorrect, helping you to ensure that you include all the necessary information when submitting your registration form. Follow the steps below to register for Unisa:

- Choose the qualification level and then click “Go”.
- Enter your student number in the block provided and the other details as required. (If you don’t have a student number you won’t be able to continue. You’ll need to apply online for admission.)
- Check your details on the screen. Change any contact details that are missing or incorrect. It is very important to provide your correct address and cellphone numbers. Incorrect information may delay the delivery of your study material and prevent you from receiving important information from the university.
Click on the modules from the drop-down list for which you want to register. Ensure that you meet all the qualification requirements for your selected modules. You must

- enter the correct module code
- select the correct semester (1 = first semester; 2 = second semester)

- Do not exceed the prescribed number of modules per semester or year, as this may result in a delay in your registration being processed. Unisa retains the right to remove modules based on the number of credits allowed per semester and by the fees paid. Please take note of the maximum period you have to complete your qualification.
