Application to undergraduate, postgraduate and honours qualifications at Unisa will be open from the 1st September 2023 to the 13th October 2023. Your admission to Unisa for the 2024 academic year will only depend on you meeting the admission requirements. Unisa management board encourages all postgraduate diplomas and Honours degrees, Master’s and Doctoral applicants to apply online for admission before the application deadline.  The Unisa late application will be announced soon.

Application forms and documents that will be submitted after the application deadline will be rejected by Unisa and students will be denied to partake in academic activities. Students who missed the 2024 applications will need to re-apply during the next application period.

Unisa provides all registered students with a free myLife e-mail address. It is the responsibility of registrants to activate their myLife e-mail account as soon as their registration has been finalised. Your myLife e-mail account will be the only e-mail account recognised by Unisa for official correspondence to and from the university and will remain the official primary e-mail address on record at Unisa.

Unisa Late Application Deadline For 2024

Online application for the 2024 academic year at Unisa opens on the 1st September 2023 and closes on the 13th October 2023 for Undergraduate & Honours qualifications.  Late applications at Unisa 2024 will be announced. All Applicants must apply for the period for which they have been granted admission. Does Unisa Accept Late Applications?

No, late registration is not allowed at Unisa, but in case there are still spaces for the chosen qualification then may you be considered it will be advisable to register early while the registrations are still open.

Unfortunately, Unisa has made it clear that they will not accept any late applications or documents after the closing of the application date. However, if you wish to apply for admission to the 2024-2025 academic year, you will have to re-apply during the next application period that is given by Unisa.

Unisa Late Application Requirements  2024

Applicants who are registering to Unisa for 2024 must make sure they meet the statutory registration of the qualification of which they have chosen and also meet the minimum academic points score (APS) for their qualification(s) of choice.  Applicants are to upload all the supporting documents along with the registration forms. Below are the supporting documents needed for Unisa registration:

  • Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
  • Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
  • Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
  • Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
  • Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

Unisa urges all Unisa students who previously applied prior to 2016 to upload all the required documents. Failure to do so may result in a delay in processing your application. Online Late Application Process For Unisa 2024-2025

Unisa’s online application process is quick, simple and accurate. When applying online, you’ll be prompted when information is missing or incorrect, helping you to ensure that you include all the necessary information when submitting your registration form. Follow the steps below to register for Unisa:

  • Go to the UNISA Application website: www.unisa.ac.za online application portal
  • At the top menu of Unisa’s page, click on the Admission tab
  • Then, you click on Apply for Admission
  • Choose your preferred qualification (Undergraduate qualifications, Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas or Master’s & doctoral qualifications)
  • Start your UNISA Application process for the 2024 academic year.

During the specified application period, all admissions for application must be submitted online. Please confirm whether you meet the statutory and college-specific entrance or admission requirements, as well as the required academic points score (APS) for your selected qualification, before submitting an application (s). A minimum APS of 15 is required for a higher certificate, an APS of 18 for a diploma, and a minimum APS of 21 for a bachelor’s degree (some exceptions apply).
