UNISA Registration Dates 2025-2026
Below are the registration dates for UNISA 2025-2026;
- The registration portal for Unisa’s first semester has closed for the academic year. However, the deadline for semester two registrations has been extended to July.
- Registration for master’s and doctoral programs for the 2025 academic year will be open from January to April, with some exceptions.
- Semester two registrations for MBA and MBL qualifications will be available from June to July.
- Additionally, applications and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from January to March.
Documents Required To Register at UNISA 2025
The following documents are required to register for chosen courses at UNISA;
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
- Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
- Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
- Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
How to Register UNISA Online 2025
The University of South Africa, UNISA Registration 2025 can be submitted online. Online registration at UNISA is quick, simple and reliable. Consider the following before proceeding to the online registration process. Follow the steps below to register online at UNISA:
- Go to UNISA registration website at https://registration.unisa.ac.za
- Select your qualification level
- Then, you click on “GO” to begin your online registration
- Make sure you have your Student Number with you
- Enter the Student Number in the space provided
- If you do not have a student number, you will not be able to continue, unless you apply online for admission where a student number will be created and sent to you through the email address you provided during the application process.
- Type in other information details as needed
- Verify your details on the screen. If there are changes or wrong information you need to make, do them before you proceed to the next option. You must provide an accurate and valid cellphone number and email address. UNISA will communicate with you via these important details you give them and your application process can be delayed if your details are incorrect.
- Next, click on the modules from the drop-down list in which you would like to register.
- Make sure you qualify for the admission requirement for your chosen modules.
- You should not go beyond the prescribed number of modules per semester or year otherwise your registration process will be delayed.
- Calculate your registration and study fees. Use this link: http://www.unisa.ac.za/feequote to obtain a quote for the cost of your modules. Please, remember the minimum fee that should be paid before submitting your registration for processing. If you cannot afford it, remove modules until you can afford the fees.
- Submit your Registration after paying your online registration fee. Remember to keep proof of payment in case of enquiries.
UNISA STUDENT REGISTRATION FEES AND CLEARANCE 2025
Once you have completed and submitted your registration form, you must pay the fees that you calculated.
- Students who were sponsored or received funding from either NSFAS or a Provincial Government and have performed well academically will be financially cleared and allowed to register.
- Students who have not received NSFAS or Provincial Government funding during 2024 will be required to go through the financial clearance process at the Financial Aid
- Self-funded students who do not have outstanding fees are required to pay an initial minimum registration fee before they can be allowed to register.
- All academically deserving self-funded students who have outstanding fees are required to make arrangements with Finance They should also complete and sign Acknowledgement of Debt Forms before they can be allowed to register.
