UNISA Application Dates for Admission to 2024 Academic year

  • Undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees): 1 September – 13 October 2023
  • Honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas: 1 September – 13 October 2023
  • Master’s & doctoral qualifications: 11 September – 14 November 2023

How to Apply University of South Africa (UNISA) Online Application Form 2024

All applications for admission must be submitted online during the prescribed application period. Applicants who want to enroll in classes at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college under the Unisa-TVET agreement can do so either through the TVET college or through Unisa’s online or self-help alternatives.

Anyone interested in beginning a new qualification must apply for admission. This includes the following:

  • Unisa applicants who are making their first application
  • Students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization
  • Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space
  • Applicants who were offered a space and accepted it an offer but did not register
  • Students completing a higher certificate or any other program and wish to proceed with further undergraduate studies

Documents Needed for UNISA Online Application 2024

The applicants who are beginning a new qualification must upload all relevant documents, which often include the following:

  1. Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
  2. Copy of your school qualifications: Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate
  3. Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
  4. Copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree if applicable
  5. Copy of your official tertiary academic records if applicable
