What Is The Application Date For Unisa 2025?
Below are the application dates at Unisa for the 2025 academic year;
- Undergraduate Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
- Applications for admission to honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
- Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
- Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.
What Is The Registration Date For Unisa 2025?
New admitted students and re-registering students must register online at Unisa using the following dates;
Undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas:
- The registration portal of Unisa for Undergraduate, honours degrees & postgraduate diplomas is open from January to February 2025.
Master’s & doctoral qualifications
- Unisa’s first-semester registration portal for Master and Doctoral Qualifications opens from January to April 2025(some exceptions apply).
Short Learning Programmes
- Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes will be open from January to March 2025.
Eligibility Requirements To Apply At Unisa 2025
Applicants and registrants need to check that they qualify for admission and have the necessary documents ready to upload during the application process. Applicants must:

All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consist of the following:
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
- Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
- Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
- Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
