The University of South Africa, UNISA Online Application for Admission to the 2025-2026 academic year is open from 21 August to 11 October 2024 for all Undergraduate qualifications, i.e. Higher certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas and degrees, advanced certificates.
All Unisa Honours degrees and Postgraduate diplomas will open from 21 August to 11 October 2024 and Masters & Doctoral qualifications will also be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024. Please, remember that there will be no Late applications for any qualification.

Unisa Application Date 2025-2026
The application application portal opens on the following dates for rthe various qualification:
- Undergraduate Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
- Applications for admission to honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year will open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
- Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
- Applications for Short Learning Programs from the 2025 academic year begin from May to July.
Unisa Application Fee for 2025-2026
All applicants must pay an online application fee of R140,00. You have to use the student number you received from Unisa and the application fee reference number; STUDENTNUMBER 5370810030. Apply at Unisa Online 2025-2026
UNISA Admission Requirements 2025 (All qualifications)
- Unisa general admission requirements rely on you meeting particular admission requirements for the qualification you have chosen. You would like to consider another qualification if you don’t qualify for these requirements.
- Be reminded that some of the qualifications have a limited number of spaces available at Unisa so if you meet the general and the specific admission requirements for the chosen qualifications, it doesn’t give you the offer for a space for the 2025-2026 academic cycle.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: If you don’t qualify for admission requirements for any Undergraduate qualification at the University of South Africa, UNISA, you will have to look for other study options to help you meet the admission requirements for the qualification in which you have chosen.

- All applicants must have a copy of their school certificates (Senior Certificates and National Senior Certificates)
- Applicants must have a copy of ID documents (RSA students) or ID or (Passport for International students only).
- A copy of the Marriage certificate if necessary or a divorce decree
- Your Sworn translation documents if not in English or Afrikaans language
- Your copy of the official tertiary academic records if applicable
