Application Dates For Unisa Master Programs 2025-2026
Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply). You are encouraged to apply for admission as soon as possible, as qualifications will be removed from the application list once all available spaces for the 2025 academic year have been filled.
Admission Requirements For UNISA Clinical Psychology Masters 2025-2026
To apply for the Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology program, candidates must possess an Honours degree in Psychology or an accredited BPsych degree, with a minimum average of 60%. International applicants must also meet the English language proficiency requirements. Due to the competitive nature of the program, only candidates who have achieved a minimum of 60% in their Honours or BPsych degree will be considered.
According to the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), applicants with a criminal record or pending criminal charges are not eligible for admission. Therefore, a police clearance certificate, obtained directly from the South African Police Services (SAPS), must be submitted with your application (certificates from third-party providers will not be accepted).
Candidates are expected to reside within proximity to the main campus in Muckleneuk, Pretoria (Gauteng), for the duration of the course. Students are required to be available for training five days a week, Monday to Friday, from 08h00 until the end of the working day. While some theoretical modules may offer online lectures, all practical and clinical work is conducted in person, either on campus or in nearby areas. Therefore, applicants selected for the program should be prepared to relocate if necessary.

The applicants who are beginning a new qualification must upload all relevant documents, which often include the following:
