When to Apply for Unisa 2025 Undergraduate Courses: Unisa Application 2025
Online Applications for admission to Unisa Undergraduate courses for 2025 have been opened to all prospective applicants who wish to start a new Unisa undergraduate qualification must apply for admission to the 2025-2026 academic year before the application closing date or deadline.
Check below on how to apply for the Unisa undergraduate programme for 2025. Please, all applicants must pay an online application fee of R140,00 to process your application. The application fee paid is not refundable even if you decide not to study at Unisa or do not meet the admission requirements for the chosen programme.

Unisa Application Date 2025-2026
Below are the important dates and deadlines for Unisa applications for the 2025/2026 academic year;
- Undergraduate Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
- Applications for admission to honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
- Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
- Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.
Documents for Unisa Undergraduate Online Application 2025
Applicants starting a new undergraduate qualification must upload all the following required documents:
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
- Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
- Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
- Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
NOTE:
- Only upload the required documents as individual files and not a complete set of documents as one file. Please ensure that the documents and images you upload are clear.
- Files may not be larger than 2MB (2048KB) each.
- Only black and white documents may be submitted.
- Only the following file types are allowed: PDF (Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format file), DOC (Word document file) or TIF (image file).
How to Apply Online for the UNISA Undergraduate Programme for 2025
Unisa Online Application 2025 undergraduate courses are very easy, simple and accurate. Follow the steps below:
- Visit www.unisa.ac.za to apply 2025
- At the top menu of the page, click the “Apply for Admission” tab
- Then, choose the qualification level (Undergraduate)
- Read the undergraduate application information before you continue
- After that, you click on the “Apply Online” link to begin the process
- The “Unisa Application Tool” will be open for further details
- Answer the questions and provide the required personal details
- Upload all the requested supporting documents and continue
- Complete and submit your application for review.
NOTE: Before applying, please check whether you meet the statutory and college-specific admission requirements, and the required academic points score (APS) for your chosen qualification. The minimum APS score differs from college to college, and from qualification to qualification.
It is important to note that you will not automatically be accepted to study through Unisa in 2025. Students will be accommodated based on the number of spaces available for each qualification.
