Online Application Dates For Unisa 2025-2026

To apply for admission at Unisa, you must take note of the following important dates and deadlines;

• Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year will be open from August 21 to October 11, 2024.
• Applications for honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas will also be open from August 21 to October 11, 2024.
• Applications for master’s and doctoral degrees will be accepted from September 2 to November 22, 2024, with some exceptions.
• Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.

University of South Africa (UNISA) Online Application Process 2025

Everyone who wishes to apply for admission at UNISA for the 2025 academic year should follow the processes below:

• A maximum of two qualifications, listed in order of preference, may be applied for even though you may register for only one if both of your qualifications are successful
• The results of your application will be communicated to you by UNISA. If you are accepted, They will tell you the qualification you have been accepted for and will offer you a space for the term you applied for which is the first 1st semester of 2025
• You have a certain amount of time to accept or reject UNISA’s offer. If you miss the deadline, UNISA will cancel your offer and give your space to another candidate.
• You are allowed to accept ONLY one offer. This means that if you accept an offer for one qualification whether it’s your first or second option, the other will automatically be withdrawn.
• You must register for the term for which you have been granted admission if you accept Unisa’s offer (semester 1). You will need to reapply for admission during the following application season if you do not register for the relevant semester of study.

What You Need to Apply for University of UNISA Application 2025 

To apply to UNISA online, you are required to provide the following supporting documents:

• Copy of your ID document South African students and passport ID (international students)
• Copy of your school qualifications: Senior Certificate or National Senior Certificate
• Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
• Copy of your official tertiary academic records if applicable
• Copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree if applicable
