Online Application Dates At UNISA for 2025

If you are waiting to apply for the 2025 academic year, you may do so using the following dates;

Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year will be open from August 21 to October 11, 2024.
Applications for honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas will also be open during this period.
Applications for master’s and doctoral degrees will be accepted from September 2 to November 22, 2024, with some exceptions.
Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.

Who Qualifies To Apply Online At UN ISA 2025?

Therefore, all those who wish to start a new qualification must fall under any of the following groups of people;

All first-time applicants to the University of South Africa
University of South Africa students who wish to change to a new qualification or specialization
Students who are completing a higher certificate programme or any other qualification and wish to continue further Undergraduate studies
Those who earlier on applied for admission and were not offered a space
Applicants who got a space accepted UNISA’s offer but did not register for 2025

UNISA Online Application Fee 2025

A non-refundable online application fee of R140.00 is required from all unisa 2025 applicants. This Application fee is not refundable if you plan not to study through the University of South Africa, do not meet UNISA admission requirements or cannot be offered a space due to few spaces available

The application fee must be paid by the closing date of the application period. Any application that is not accompanied by a timely payment of the application fee will be rejected. Please preserve a copy of your receipt as proof of payment.

Documents Needed for Online Application At Unisa 2025

Everyone who is applying to start a new qualification at UNISA should submit the following required supporting documents:

Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans

NOTE:

Unisa reserves the right to request original documents and/or to verify the correctness of submitted documents at any time. Submitting fraudulent documents is an offence in terms of the Student Disciplinary Code. UNISA’s deadline for uploading all the required supporting documents is the closing date for applications in 2025. No documents submitted after the closing date for applications will be accepted.

Applicants must ensure that the documents and images they upload are clear.

Files may not be larger than 2MB (2048KB) each.
Only black and white documents may be submitted.
Only the following file types are allowed: PDF (Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format file), DOC (Word document file) or TIF (image file)

Visit the official website of UNISA at www.unisa.ac.za.
Navigate to the application section and Click on “Apply for Admission” in the top menu of the homepage.
Select your qualification level (Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Master’s. etc.).
Click on the “Apply Online” tab to begin the application process.
Complete the online application form with the required information.
Upload all the required certified supporting documents.
Pay the online application fee of R140.00 and keep proof of payment.
