If you’re looking to apply for admission at UNISA for the 2025/2026 academic year, please note that the application is currently only available online. Unisa Online Application Date 2025/2026
Below are the important dates and deadlines for Unisa applications for the 2025/2026 academic year;
- Undergraduate Applications for admission to undergraduate qualifications for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
- Applications for admission to honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
- Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
- Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.
Unisa 2025 Application Fee 2025/2026
Pay a non-refundable online application fee of R140,00 as outlined in the application process. Keep the payment receipt as you may need it for future reference.
Admission Requirements For Unisa Application 2025/2026

- Furthermore, students are required to fulfil the admission criteria for the qualification they are seeking credits or exemptions. Up to half (50%) of the qualification’s credits could potentially be granted as exemptions.
- Importantly, once an application is submitted, no changes or additions to qualifications can be accommodated.
- Students who are presently excluded or suspended from another institution due to misconduct won’t be taken into consideration for admission to UNISA.
Required Documents to Apply Online At Unisa 2025/2026
The following documents are required to apply online at Unisa for the 2025/2026 academic year;
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate)
- Copy of your official tertiary academic record(s) (if applicable) (internet copies will not be accepted)
- Copy of your ID document (RSA students) or ID/passport (international students)
- Copy of your marriage certificate (if applicable) or divorce decree (if applicable)
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
