For a half module:

• Semester 1: R910.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R300.00 and the remainder of R610.00 due by  March 2025.
• Semester 2: R910.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R300.00 and the remainder of R610.00 due by  May 2025.

Year: R910.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R300.00 and the remainder of R610.00 due by August 2025.

For a module or paper:

• Semester 1: R1,815.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R600.00 and the remainder of R1,215.00 due by March 2025.
• Semester 2: R1,815.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R600.00 and the remainder of R1,215.00 due by May 2025.

Year: R1,815.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R600.00 and the remainder of R607.00 due by August 2025.

For a full module:

• Semester 1: R3,540.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R1,170.00 and the remainder of R2,370.00 due by March 2025.
• Semester 2: R3,540.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R1,170.00 and the remainder of R2,370.00 due by May 2025.

Year: R3,540.00 total, with a minimum amount payable on registration of R1,170.00 and the remainder of R1,185.00 due by August 2025.

Admission Requirements For Higher Certificate In Law At Unisa

Your admission to Unisa is dependent on you meeting the specific admission requirements for your chosen qualification.

• A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning,
  or
• a Senior Certificate (SC) with at least an F symbol on HG or an E symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning,
  or
• a National Certificate (Vocational) level 4 with an equivalent of at least 40% in the language of teaching and learning in terms of the NSC. Selection options for the Higher Certificate studies will be limited and aligned to vocational subject choices obtained in the National Certificate Vocational (NCV) level 4.

How To Chose A Higher Certificate In Law Module At Unisa

Each Unisa qualification is structured in such a way that you need to pass a certain number of NQF-level credits within a certain amount of time to graduate.

• Co-requisite: Module A is a co-requisite for Module B. You want to register for Module B, but have not yet passed Module A. You must then register for both Modules A and B simultaneously. You may NOT cancel your registration for Module A unless Module B is also cancelled.
• Pre-requisite: If Module A is a pre-requisite for Module B, you must pass Module A before you may register for Module B.

You may not register for more than the allowed maximum number of credits/modules per academic year and/or semester: 60 credits per semester or 120 credits per academic year.

The maximum number of credits does not include supplementary and/or aegrotat examinations from a previous semester. Modules taken for non-degree / non-diploma purposes also count towards the maximum number of credits allowed.

You must consider your available time when choosing your modules, as this will impact your academic performance. You need approximately

• 6 to 8 hours per week for semester modules.
• 4 to 6 hours per week for year modules.
