Higher Certificate in Education at UNISA 2023

The University of South Africa (UNISA) Online Applications for 2023 Admission to higher certificate courses in Education open from 11 August 2022 to 15 October 2022. Therefore, applicants interested in studying at UNISA for the 2023 academic year for any of the teaching courses must submit an online application via www.unisa.ac.za portal before the closing date or deadline.

Below is a list of some of the Higher Certificate Courses in Education at UNISA for 2023

Higher Certificate in Adult Basic Education and Training (98615)
Higher Certificate in Education Foundation Phase and Intermediate Phase (90093 – FIP)
Higher Certificate in Education Senior Phase and Further Education and Training Teaching (90093 – SPF)

UNISA Admission Requirements to Study Higher Certificate Courses in Education for 2023

You must qualify for the exact entrance requirements for the qualification you have chosen in order to be admitted to UNISA for 2023. Below are the minimum admission requirements for your chosen programme:

A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning
A Senior Certificate (SC) with at least an F symbol on HG or an E symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning
A National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 with an equivalent of at least 40% in the language of teaching and learning in terms of the NSC.

UNISA Student Fees and Funding in 2023

The Application Fee: Once you have received your student number from UNISA, you are required to pay an online application fee of R115 and R185 for hard copy applications.

Please be aware that this application fee is not refundable, regardless of whether you choose not to enrol in UNISA’s programmes, do not meet the requirements for admission, or are not able to accept an offer due to limited spaces.
