UNISA Online Application 2025 Postgraduate: Unisa application 2025

Prospective postgraduate students who wish to study at the University of South Africa, UNISA in 2025 are invited to apply online for a postgraduate certificate, diploma, honours, master’s or doctoral degree using our online application system.

To ensure adequate time for application, processing and planning by the University and yourself, applications for early admission in 2025 should be submitted earlier during the application period. Places in some qualifications are limited, and it is therefore in your best interest to submit your application form and all your supporting documentation as soon as possible. Late applications may not be considered after the portal has been closed, if there is still space available in the course you wish to apply for, the university may decide to accept late applications.

Before completing an application form, please take note of the minimum admission requirements for the qualification that you are applying for or refer to the qualification guide. Postgraduate masters and doctoral applicants must also complete the relevant Postgraduate form.

Online UNISA Postgraduate 2025-2026 Application Dates

The online application portal dates for postgraduate applications are provided below;

• Applications for admission to honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 21 August to 11 October 2024.
• Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral degrees for the 2025 academic year are to be open from 2 September to 22 November 2024 (some exceptions apply).
• Application and registration for Unisa’s Short Learning Programmes are open from 14 May to 19 July 2024.

Required Documents To Apply For Unisa Postgraduate 2025-2026

Your application form must be accompanied by:

• A copy of your School certificate (Senior Certificate or National Senior Certificate)
• A copy of your ID (RSA applicants) and Passport ID (International applicants)
• You must provide a Sworn translation of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
• Your official tertiary academic records if necessary
• A copy of your Marriage certificate or divorce decree if requested

Unisa Postgraduate Online Application Procedure 2025-2026

Follow the step-by-step guide below to apply online at Unisa for the 2025-2026 academic year;

• Visit UNISA Online Application 2025 portal at www.unisa.ac.za
• The Unisa website will be open for you as seen on the screen
• At the top menu of the page, go to the “Admission” tab and click on “Apply for Admission”
• The admission page will open and display a lot of information messages.
• Carefully read all the information you see on your screen and understand the before you continue the next step.
• Choose your qualification (Undergraduate, Honours & Postgraduate diplomas, Master’s & Doctoral degrees, or Short learning programmes).
• Read the information messages. Make sure you understand every bit.
• Click on “View the Process”
• Read through the information and click on “Proceed to ODL and UNISA”
• Another page will be open for you to know what is next. Read the information.
• If you have completed a qualification through UNISA / distance learning, Click on the “YES” to proceed to the next application process.
• A page will be open and display information. If you are certain about your career, Click on “YES” to proceed to the next step.
• The next step is to choose the qualification(s) for which you want to apply.
• At the top menu of the qualifications, go to Step 4 and Click on “Apply for Admission”. Read the information you see below
• Scroll down and click on “CLICK HERE to apply online”
• The UNISA Application Tool will open for you as seen on the screen.
• Read the information and select your qualification
• Upload your supporting documents and pay the online application fee of R115
• Another page will open for you to Enter your student number and other required details
• Click on “Submit your Application” online
